OUR MONACO SPRINGTIME HIT-LIST | April 8, 2022
Our Monaco springtime hit-list: 2022 edition
There’s no better time than the present to drop our list of the hottest (literally) spots in Monaco. We must say, one of our favorite things about the Principality is how they do the springtime. Monte-Carlo Tennis Masters 2022, Formula 1 Grand Prix, outdoor cafés, bars, restaurants…
After a long winter, we are happy to announce that outdoor seating season is officially upon us, hallelujah! We love nothing more than enjoying a glass of rosé and watching the sun set on the Mediterranean, or a Vitamin D-packed lunch break during the week. In this blog post we’ll be sharing our springtime spot recs in Monaco!
The crème de la crème of Peruvian fusion cuisine returns this month! We don’t know what we love more at Coya: the food, the seating, or the ambiance. Good thing we don’t have to choose…This place feels like an escape to a faraway oasis, it’s a must for anyone visiting the Principality. The people watching is stellar too! (PS: you’ll want to book in advance!)
Go old school at A’trego. This pieds dans l’eau style restaurant has been around for decades and the locals love it. It’s a breath of fresh air from the usual Monaco ambiance and has a very relaxing set-up, so we love taking our lunch break on its outdoor terrace during the week, to break up busy and stressful days.
Le Marché de la Condamine
For a quick bite or beer, hit the Marché. In the first half of the day you'll be surrounded by the beautiful colorful stalls of organic produce and fresh flowers…The marché is an institution in Monaco and it has become quite the foodie spot, offering different dining options with a dedicated outdoor space on the place for tables and chairs so that you can enjoy your meal in the sun or under “les arcades”. Pizza, pasta, poké? The choice is yours..
Em Sherif @ Hôtel de Paris
This is a new entry for Monaco and we couldn’t be more excited! The best of the Middle East has come to town! Share a delicious mezze meal on the terrace of the iconic Hôtel de Paris as you overlook the Casino Square. The vibes are immaculate….
Les Perles de Monte Carlo
As we head into the summer season, we all start to crave delicious and fresh seafood. Les Perles is another historic spot in Monaco. It sits at the very edge of one the many piers in Monaco and has a very low key appearance, something that is quite rare to find nowadays in Monaco. We'll always have a special place in our heart for this restaurant. Best oysters in town!
One of our favorites for Italian vibes and food is Cantinetta Antinori. Their terrace is quaint and cozy and looks onto the Boulevard du Larvotto. If you’re lucky enough, in the evening, they’ll have a live music band playing too! If you go, you must try the pistachio tiramisu which the waiter literally composes in front of you (also you don’t want to miss out on their special Carbonara- it’s made with Kobe beef!)
Le Miami Plage
The spot to hit with friends…Get a drink, share a pizza, and let the good times roll! There’s a reason locals are so attached to Miami Plage, the staff is always welcoming and chances are your waiter has been there for decades…It’s also likely you’ll be greeted by the owner himself! It’s about the simple things isn’t it? Also, the Larvotto is newly renovated so you’ll want to check it out if you haven’t already!
We would spend our entire day at Cova if we could, but if we had to choose we’d go at lunch time for their delicious dish of the day (hint: it’s usually a primo, yum!). We have a soft spot for their aperitivo hour too…Eating at Cova feels like a treat just because of the Italian hospitality and the welcome you receive. If we pass by it on our way to the office, we always make sure to stop by for a caffè (and, let’s be honest, maybe a brioche too) al bar.
The Cipriani experience just got better! Cipriani in Monaco has opened an outdoor dining area…Need we say more? Catch us outside all springtime! Eat pasta, run fasta!
This is one of our favorite views in Monaco…The terrace seating is so peaceful and romantic, and will make you feel like you’re dining above the clouds. It’s definitely our favorite for date night in the spring and summer. By the way, we vote sushi as the best type of summer date night food, who’s with us?
We couldn’t go without mentioning our favorite pizza in the principality! Especially because we always have the best time sitting and eating on its outdoor terrace on the Port! Crazy Pizza checks all the boxes: music, terrace, spritz, dough….You know where to find us on Sunday night pizza night! Thank us later.
Another new addition to the Monaco scene…Trinity is cocktail bar meets brasserie. It blends the pub culture of the Monaco Port with the chic cocktail ambiance on the Larvotto. With its dark forest green deco, Trinity brings the best of both and a lovely terrace too!
That’s all for now, see you next week! We’ll be chilling on a terrace until then…
